How Do I Prepare for My First SWEAT440 Class?
Before your first SWEAT440 class, here are a few tips for what to expect so you can arrive confident, enthusiastic, excited and ready to SWEAT!

Stay hydrated
Make sure you hydrate before, during, and after class. We’re serious about sweating at SWEAT440!

While we have water bottles for purchase, We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle.

dress to sweat
Wear comfortable activewear that you’re ready to sweat in, and supportive sneakers. We have showers so you can change back to dry clothes before heading off to work or continuing your day.

When Should I Arrive?
The good news is: you’re never late. First-timers should get there a little early to sign in, but only early enough to accommodate your own schedule since a new group starts the circuit every 10 minutes. Check your local SWEAT440 location page to confirm hours of operation and first and last group start times.
This is how the groups work: you wait and stretch while your group is organized. Keep an eye on the stretching area screen, you’ll see your name will pop up on the screen and your instructor will help you with any questions you have.
We have lockers with built-in locks available for use.

How Does SWEAT440 Work?
Our 40-minute, four 10-minute station classes are HIIT circuits: short, intense bursts of exercise with brief periods of rest to maximize calorie burn – and sweat! While you burn up to 800 calories a class, you will keep burning calories up to 48 hours after class … one of the many benefits of HIIT training.

What Should I bring to class?
A reusable water bottle and a will to sweat! We provide access to lockers to accommodate our friends coming from work, carpool (etc, etc).
Am I ready for a SWEAT440 class?
Don’t be intimidated ! We have alternative exercises at each circuit. Our instructors ask if you have any injuries or areas of concern at the beginning of each class: your health and safety is our #1 concern. We explain each exercise upon each circuit rotation.
How many calories does S440 burn?
You burn roughly 400-760 calories a class – but keep in mind the Afterburn Effect. HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) burns calories for up to 48 hours after a workout!
What Should I Wear to SWEAT440?
Athletic shoes and breathable clothing that you don’t mind getting sweaty.
What Time Should I arrive?
Since we start a new small group every 10 minutes, our class spots are first come first serve. There is no need to book a spot in advance, simply join us at the studio and our concierge will assist you. The longest wait time is typically 5-10 minutes to jump in a class.
Can I participate if I’m pregnant?
Please check with your doctor before participating in a SWEAT440 session if pregnant. If you are given the green light by a medical professional, we encourage you to join us! Simply monitor your heart rate and only do what makes you comfortable throughout the session. We will help tailor your workout to accommodate your comfort.
