Are Sweat Athletics and Sweat440 totally different?
Both Sweat Athletics and Sweat440 have similar foundations in HIIT style training. Whether you’re a professional athlete, an advanced amateur, or a total newbie, we’re sure you’ve heard about High Intensity Interval Training, (HIIT or HIT).
If you’re new to Miami’s HIIT (or HIT) style workouts, we think Shape Magazine describes them best as: “the ideal workout for a busy schedule-whether you want to squeeze in a workout during your lunch break or to get in shape for a fast-approaching event. Research shows you can achieve more progress in a mere 15 minutes of interval training (done three times a week) than the girl jogging on the treadmill for an hour.”
How is Sweat440 different from Sweat Athletics?
Our workout is totally unique! Sweat440 is different from Sweat Athletics, as our program combines strength training, cardio workouts, HIIT style workouts, and state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Unlike our competitors, we focus on a different muscle group or area of your body every day of the week. Customers have complete control over their workouts and they love it!

The fast pace makes classes fly by. And the variety of exercises results in a total body workout. It is meant to be a class you can do multiple times per week or even daily without getting bored or overworking a muscle group.
Unlike some of our competitors (Sweat Athletics, we’re looking at you) there’s a wide variety of equipment incorporated into Sweat440 workouts – rowing machines, TRX, weights, bikes, resistance bands, kettlebells and so on. Our customers never feel bored by the routine!
Sweat Athletics & Sweat440 Workouts are Both Incredibly Effective
HIIT training has been proven to give you the best workout in the least amount of time. Runners have used interval training for more than a century, alternating between jogging and sprinting to improve their overall endurance. HIIT went mainstream a decade ago, when doctors, sports medicine professionals and physiologists gave us study after study demonstrating the benefits of intervals for your exercise routine.
The most studied, and therefore most well-established benefit of HIIT is your heart health. Interval training has been proven (over and over) to boost cardio-respiratory health with a smaller time investment compared to continuous forms of exercise. In other words, you can get a better workout in 20 minutes with HIIT, than with 50 minutes of, say, an aerobics class, for instance.
Sweat Athletics is a great workout. However, it is more cardio based. Sweat440 is going to hammer that cardio too, but we’re also looking at your overall body shape and tone, and focus on building muscle with every workout.
- Any time you build muscle, your cardio system will improve. The more muscle on your body, and the less fat, the higher your metabolic rate!

You’ll never need to worry about getting stuck at the office on a long phone call, or getting bogged down in the legendary Miami traffic. Unlike some of our competitors (Sweat Athletics, Orangetheory, Crossfit etc) you’ll never pay for a class you don’t use! Just hang out for a few minutes and get warmed up, your next class is starting in a few minutes.

We set the stage with a variety of exciting workout music and highly trained instructors. Just add athletes!
Our workouts are a challenge, and a blast to do. Your classmates will be just as pumped as you are. Our vibe is always positive and high energy.
Okay, we’re not calling Sweat440 gym classes easy. In the beginning your arms and legs will feel like overcooked spaghetti noodles! But our instructors and other students are there to cheer you on and high-five in between stations.
Every workout machine we use in the gym is equipped with an animation screen, so you can see exactly how you’ll be doing each exercise. You’ll never feel like you’re getting the “side eye” from someone who “lives at the gym” six days a week!
